The 2010-2014 Mustang rear Faux Gas Cap has some room for improvement - especially if you want to customize it!
The problem with the newer Mustangs (2010-2014, even more so 2013/2014) is that it takes extensive modification in order to get that area nice and smooth for you to be able to personalize it with a decal or vinyl.
This perfectly sized and cut black 1/16" acrylic disc is the perfect solution. Comes shipped with protective tape on one side (to prevent any scratching) and double sided trophy tape on the other side for a solid bond. UV resistant for permanent outdoor use - solid color (all the way through) piece. Will not crack or peel.

No instructions, no tape to attach it to emblem, it doesn't even give you the size and the description. I'm super disappointed in this piece. 1) I thought it would be bigger than 4 in to cover the whole badge. 2) I thought it would come a mounting tape so I can just remove the backing and push it on my badge, nope. It only came with the protection paper on both sides and no tape in the box. 3) everything I've read up to this point because there was no instructions, tells me I need to grind down the GT that is currently on my badge. Problem is if I do this what's left is domed in this piece. Won't sit flat nor will it be flush with the inner outer ring diameter. You would think there'd be instructions if I need to remove the GT from the center and place this instead of. I gave it a two because it looks like it's going to be the right size but I just don't know how to get it in there.
Update: I called anchor and they apologized for the confusion and are sending me the trophy tape. The gentleman also explained how to attach the disk. You do have to grind down the current emblem flat first.
